How to Watch Amazon Prime Video on iPhone
- Open the App Store and search for Prime Video.
- Download and install the app.
- Open the app and sign in with your Amazon account.
- Find a movie or show and tap play.
Result: The title streams on your iPhone. Amazon allows up to three titles streaming at once on one account, and the same Prime title on no more than two devices at a time.
How to Rent or Buy Movies That Aren’t Included With Prime
Amazon says selected titles can be rented or bought in the Prime Video app on supported devices. Titles that cost extra show a yellow shopping bag icon on the home page rows. Open the title’s page, look at the purchase options, and choose Buy or Rent. More purchase options lets you pick a different video quality.

How to Download Amazon Prime Movies to Your iPhone
- Open the Prime Video app and find the title.
- For a movie, choose the download option on its detail page.
- For a TV show, download the whole season, or tap the download icon next to an episode.
Result: The title is saved to the app so you can watch it without an internet connection.
Download Rules to Know

- You typically have 30 days to start watching a downloaded Prime title, and 48 hours to finish once you start.
- Prime titles can be downloaded to only two devices at a time. Amazon also sets a maximum number of downloads per account, which varies by location.
- Downloaded titles can’t be played to a TV over AirPlay or Chromecast.
- If your Prime membership ends, you can’t watch Prime titles you downloaded unless you rented or bought them.

The Prime Video app is also available on Apple TV and many smart TVs. Install it from the device’s app store, open it, and register the device. Amazon says you may get a sign-in prompt on your phone if the Prime Video app is on the same home network, or you can scan a QR code or enter a code on Amazon’s Register a Device page.
