To add the calculator to Control Center on an iPhone, open Control Center, tap the + in the upper-left corner, tap Add a Control, and tap Calculator. After that, you can open the calculator from any screen, even the Lock Screen.
How to add Calculator to Control Center
These steps come from Apple’s Use and customize Control Center guide.
- Open Control Center. On an iPhone with Face ID, swipe down from the top-right corner. On an iPhone with a Home button, swipe up from the bottom.
- Tap the + in the upper-left corner.
- Tap Add a Control at the bottom of the screen.
- Find Calculator in the list and tap it.
- Drag the Calculator button where you want it, then swipe up from the bottom center of the screen to finish.
How to remove it
Open Control Center, tap +, then tap the minus button at the top left of the Calculator control.
Calculator tips
- Scientific calculator: Tap the calculator button in the bottom-left corner of the Calculator app and choose Scientific. Apple covers this in its scientific calculator guide.
- Delete a digit: Tap the delete key (the arrow with an x) to remove the last digit you typed.
- Math Notes: The same menu has Math Notes, where you can write out a problem and see the answer as you type.
