How to Convert a Google Sheet to PDF, Excel, or CSV

3. Enter the email addresses or groups to send it to.
4. Add a message, then click Send.

Result: Google sends a copy as an attachment. The recipients get a file, not access to your live spreadsheet.

How to Publish a Sheet as a PDF Link

There is another option if you want a link that stays current. Go to File > Share > Publish to web, pick the sheet, choose PDF document (.pdf) in the format menu, and click Publish. You can turn on automatic republishing so the PDF updates when the sheet changes. Anyone with the link can see it, so don’t use this for private data.

Troubleshooting

• Download is grayed out: Google says the file owner may have turned off download, print, and copy for people with view or comment access.
• Nothing downloads in Chrome: Google says blocking third-party cookies can stop Drive downloads. Allow third-party cookies for drive.google.com.
• The PDF cuts off columns: change the scale to Fit to width or switch to Landscape.
• The CSV is missing tabs: each CSV holds one sheet. Download each tab separately.
