How to Access the Control Center from the Lock Screen on an iPhone

Touchscreen devices like the iPhone may initially seem like they are pretty straightforward to use, but there are actually a number of interesting options that are available on any given screen. One of these options is the Control Center in iOS 7, which you can access by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. The Control Center offers quick access to helpful options like the flashlight, Bluetooth, camera and more. You can also access it from your lock screen, which makes it convenient when you need to quickly access one of these options. Enable the Menu When You Swipe Up On the Lock Screen

Note that the Control Center is enabled by default. If you are swiping up from the bottom of the lock screen and it isn’t working, then it was intentionally disabled at some point. The steps below assume that the Control Center was disabled, so they are meant to enable that previously disabled option.


Step 1: Touch the Settings icon.

Step 2: Scroll down and select the Control Center option.

Step 3: Move the slider next to Access on Lock Screen from the left to the right. You will know that the option is enabled when there is green shading around the slider button.
