How to Turn Off VIP Mail Lock Screen Messages

Constant notifications on your iPhone can be a disruption to your day.

Most of the apps that are installed on your device want to let you know about new messages or features, which can be overwhelming when they happen too frequently.

One of the apps that send the most notifications is the Mail app, so you may have already configured it to minimize the notification intrusions caused by new messages.

But you may still wish to be notified about messages that come from specific people, which makes the VIP list helpful.

It allows you to specify certain contacts for whom you would still like to receive Mail notifications. But if the lock screen notifications from even this small subset of contacts are too overwhelming, then the steps in our guide below will show you how to disable them.
