How to Turn Off Wi-Fi During Sleep in Android Marshmallow

Does it seem like your battery life is being depleted very quickly, even when the phone screen is turned off? This may be partly due to the fact that the device is remaining connected to a Wi-Fi network even while it’s asleep. This functionality allows the phone to keep your data updated when you turn it back on.

But if you are concerned about the duration of your battery life, then you might be looking for a way to change this behavior. Fortunately there is a setting that will let you disconnect from Wi-Fi when the phone goes asleep, and instead download data over a cellular network. This will cause you to use more cellular data, but it will decrease the amount of battery life that is used.
