The iPhone 6 Plus has a larger screen than any iPhone model before it, and many people take advantage of this by making everything on their screen as large as possible. This often includes selecting the Zoomed display option when initially setting up the device.
But if you have seen another iPhone 6 Plus with smaller icons, or if you simply find the large icons to be problematic, then you might be looking for a way to reduce the size of the items on your screen. You can accomplish this by changing the Display Zoom setting on your device. Follow our guide below to learn where to find this feature and how to use it.
Switch from Zoomed to Standard View on the iPhone 6 Plus
The steps in this article were written using an iPhone 6 Plus, in iOS 8.1.2.
Step 1: Tap the Settings icon.
Step 2: Scroll down and select the Display & Brightness option.
Step 3: Tap the View button.
Step 4: Select the Standard option at the top of the screen, then touch the Set button at the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 5: Tap the Use Standard button at the bottom of your screen. Your iPhone will then restart in Standard Display Zoom.
Are you having an issue where your icons will occasionally slide down on your screen? This is caused by a feature called Reachability, and you can turn it off by following these steps.
