To delete a Fandango movie ticket from Apple Wallet, open the Wallet app, tap the ticket, tap the More button, then tap Remove Pass and confirm. Removing the pass only deletes Wallet’s copy. It doesn’t cancel or refund your ticket, which you’d do through Fandango.

Before You Delete: Pass vs. Ticket
When you add a Fandango ticket to Wallet, Wallet stores a pass with the ticket’s barcode and showtime. Deleting that pass removes it from your iPhone, but your purchase still exists with Fandango, and your confirmation email still has your order details. So:
- Already saw the movie? Delete the pass, or let Wallet hide it automatically (see below).
- Can’t go and want your money back? Request a refund or exchange from Fandango first. Deleting the pass won’t do that.
- Going later? Keep the pass. You’ll need the barcode at the theater.
How to Delete a Fandango Movie Ticket From Apple Wallet
These steps follow Apple’s Remove passes from Apple Wallet article.
- Open the Wallet app on your iPhone. Result: your cards and passes appear.
- Tap the Fandango ticket you want to remove. Result: the pass opens.
- Tap the More button. Result: pass options appear.
- Tap Remove Pass, then confirm. Result: the ticket disappears from Wallet.
Apple notes that removing a pass from Wallet on your iPhone might also remove it from your paired Apple Watch. If you bought several tickets in one order, they may appear as separate passes; repeat the steps for each one.
Where Old Movie Tickets Go: Expired Passes
You may not need to delete old tickets at all. Apple says some single-use passes, such as event tickets, are automatically hidden after they expire and moved to a separate list. From there you can view, unhide or delete them.
- In the Wallet app, tap the More button, then tap Expired. Result: your hidden passes appear.
- Tap a pass to see its details. Result: the pass opens.
- Tap the Delete button to remove it permanently, or the Unhide button to move it back to the main Wallet view. Result: the pass is deleted or restored.
To handle many at once, tap Edit in the Expired list, select the passes, and unhide or delete them together.
If you’d rather Wallet never hide passes, Apple says you can turn off Hide Expired Passes in Wallet & Apple Pay settings on your iPhone or Apple Watch. Turning it off on one paired device turns it off on the other too.
Delete an Old Ticket on Apple Watch
- Open the Wallet app on your Apple Watch and tap the More button. Result: Wallet options appear.
- Scroll to Passes and tap View Expired Passes. Result: the expired list opens.
- Tap a pass, scroll down, and tap Remove (or Unhide Pass). Result: the pass is removed or restored.
Want a Refund or Exchange Instead?
Fandango’s refund help article lists two ways to request a refund or exchange:
- From your confirmation email: use the “refund/exchange ticket(s)” link, enter your email address and confirmation number, choose refund or exchange, and complete it.
- From Fandango’s website: use the Refund/Exchange Ticket(s) link at the top of the site, enter the same details, and complete your choice.
Fandango notes that refunds don’t include convenience fees, and an exchange requires you to sign in or create a Fandango account so it can store your credit. Whether your ticket qualifies depends on the theater’s policy, so check before showtime. After a refund, you can delete the pass from Wallet.
Adding a Ticket Back to Wallet
If you deleted a ticket you still need, add it again from wherever you got it. Apple’s tickets and passes guide says to open the app, email or notification that contains the ticket and tap Add to Apple Wallet. If you don’t see that option, Apple suggests contacting the company that issued the ticket.
