Set a Triple-Click Option on the iPhone

Due to the limited number of buttons that are on the iPhone, there are only so many different combinations of button presses and touchscreen gestures that can be performed. Creating a Triple-Click Shortcut on the iPhone 6 Plus

The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 6 Plus, in iOS 8.1.2. These steps will work for other devices running iOS 8, but the steps may vary for devices running previous versions of iOS.


Step 1: Tap the Settings icon.

Step 2: Scroll down and select the General option.

Step 4: Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select the Accessibility Shortcut option.

Step 5: Select an action to perform whenever you triple-click your Home button.

You can then exit this menu and triple-click your Home button to perform the action. You can also triple-click the Home button again to exit or undo whatever option you chose to set for the triple-click shortcut.
