By default your iPhone is in stereo audio. This means that when you wear headphones, you will hear different things in each ear.
You can adjust the settings for a lot of the sounds and audio devices on your iPhone. If you have AirPods, for example, then you can even set up a notification to tell you when you’ve left them somewhere.
But if you have difficulty hearing, or if you simply don’t like stereo audio, then you may be wondering how to switch to mono.
Fortunately this is a setting that you can adjust by changing something on the Accessibility menu.
Our guide below will show you how to switch to mono audio on your iPhone 11.
How to Use Mono Audio Instead of Stereo on an iPhone 11
The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 11 in iOS 13.6.1.
Step 1: Open the Settings menu.

Step 2: Scroll down and choose Accessibility.

Step 3: Select the Audio/Visual option near the bottom of the menu.

Step 4: Tap the button to the right of Mono Audio to turn it on.

I have enabled mono audio in the picture above.
Your iPhone should now be playing the same content in the left and right speakers.
