Different countries around the world choose to display their date in different ways. This list provides information on different date formats by country.
In the United States, for example, the date is displayed with the month first, followed by the day, then the year. For example, the last day of January would be displayed as January 31, 2014 or 1/31/14.
This can be problematic if you are used to a different format, as it can lead to mistaking a day that is being discussed.
Fortunately, you can change the date settings on your iPhone so that they display in a format to which you are more accustomed.
