Stop Storing Photo Location on Your iPhone 5

The default setting on your iPhone 5 will have it recording the geographical location at which an image was taken. This gives you a convenient way to find, for example, all of the pictures that were taken when you went on a vacation. But if you decide that you do not want to record this information with your images, you can turn this setting off.


Turn Off Picture Geotagging on the iPhone 5

This tutorial is going to show you how to turn off the location services and GPS option for your iPhone 5’s camera only. But if you decide that you want to turn off all of the location services, you can do so in Step 4 below, by moving the Location Services slider to the Off position.


Step 1: Tap the Settings icon.

Step 2: Select the Privacy option.

Step 3: Select the Location Services option.

Step 4: Move the slider to the right of Camera to the Off position.

While you are on this screen, you will notice that there are a number of other location services that you can turn off as well.
