The Sony VAIO E Series SVE15114FXS 15.5-Inch Laptop includes a lot of the features that a student or non-gamer would want in a laptop that they can use everyday. By combining certain components that improve performance, while sacrificing others that detract from battery life, you are left with a computer than can manage most of the programs you will find yourself using frequently.
And you can feel confident knowing that the battery will last for a few hours if you are in a situation where it cannot be charged, such as a plane or car.

One important thing to note about this computer is the full number keypad that it includes. If your computer usage is going to require a lot of numerical entries in a program like Excel 2010, then this is very helpful. But the inclusion of a full keypad is going to decrease the amount of space available for the rest of the keyboard. While this is something that is very easy to become accustomed to, it is different than other laptops that do not include a full keypad.
Pros of the computer:
- 640 GB Hard drive
- 6 GB of RAM
- Aesthetically beautiful
- Solid, sturdy keyboard
- Intel i5 processor (Ivy Bridge)
- Backlit keyboard
- Large keypad
- HDMI port
- USB Sleep charge port (click here to learn more about that)
- USB 3.0 port
Cons of the Sony VAIO E Series SVE15114FXS 15.5-Inch Laptop:
- Integrated graphics card instead of dedicated (not ideal for heavy gaming or video editing)
- A little heavy (5.97 lbs)
