How to Turn Off Autoplay in the YouTube iPhone App

When you watch a video in the YouTube app on your iPhone, the app will automatically play a suggested video once the current one ends. This setting is called Autoplay, and is meant to keep videos playing while you are using the app.

Some people like this feature, and may find new content and video creators that they otherwise may not have found. But if you find that you don’t care for the suggested videos, you might prefer to stop this. Our tutorial below will help you find the setting that causes it so you can disable it if you so choose.

How to Stop YouTube from Autoplaying Videos

  1. Open the YouTube app.
  2. Tap your profile icon.
  3. Choose Settings.
  4. Select Autoplay.
  5. Turn off the Mobile phone/tablet option.

Our guide continues below with more information on this topic.
