OneNote is a really helpful program for people that need to organize information so that they can access it at a later time.
You can even access your OneNote notebooks from your iPhone to add another level of convenience to the application.
But if you often copy and paste information from Web pages, then you might be getting frustrated by the link that is included with that content.
Fortunately, the inclusion of that link is not mandatory, and you can turn it off in the OneNote settings.
Our guide below will show you where to find the setting that you need to turn off so that you are only pasting the content that you originally copied.
Disable the Source Link When You Paste from the Web Into OneNote 2013
The steps in this guide will change the settings in the OneNote 2013 program on your computer so that it stops including the “Pasted from” text and links under anything that you paste from a website.
Once you have made this change, you will only be pasting the content that you have actually copied.
Step 1: Open OneNote 2013.
Step 2: Click the File tab at the top-left corner of the window.
Step 3: Click the Options button at the bottom of the column on the left side of the window.
Step 4: Click the Advanced tab at the left side of the OneNote Options window.
Step 5: Click the box to the left of Include link to source when pasting from the Web to remove the checkmark. Click the OK button at the bottom of the window to apply your changes.
Now anything that you copy from a Web page and paste into a OneNote workbook will only include the content that you copied.
Now that you know how to stop including a source link when pasting in OneNote, you won’t need to worry about all of those hyperlinks that appear in notebooks when you are pasting information from Web pages or other online sources.
