How to Prevent Automatic App Downloads in iOS 9

You can set up your Apple ID on multiple iOS devices in order to share purchases that you have made, such as music and movies.

But the way that you use different devices might dictate the sort of content that you want on each individual device, meaning that you do not always wish to sync content between, for example, an iPhone and an iPad.

This is particularly noticeable when you purchase or install an app on one device, then find later that it has automatically downloaded to the other device.
