How to Burn Multiple Disc Copies For Free

If you have a CD or DVD burner on your computer, then you might have used it in the past to create a mix CD or to put some large files on physical media.

But things are a little different when you need multiple copies of the same disc, as many standard applications can’t handle that.

One program that you can use, called ImgBurn, is free and is well-suited for this type of work.

Our tutorial below will show you how to use ImgBurn when you want to burn the same content to multiple discs.

How to Use ImgBurn for Making Disc Copies

  1. Download and install the imgBurn application.
  2. Launch ImgBurn.
  3. Select the burning option for your project.
  4. Add your files to the disc, then choose the Device tab.
  5. Select Copies, and choose the desired number.
  6. Click Burn.
  7. Remove the completed disc and insert the blank one when prompted.

Our guide continues below with additional information on creating multiple disc copies, including pictures of these steps.

Recently I encountered a situation where I needed to burn 100 copies of the same data to a DVD.

If you are like me and typically only burn one copy of a disc at a time, then performing the same mind-numbing, repetitive task for hours might seem like a nightmare.

Additionally, each DVD took about 4 minutes to burn, so I couldn’t stray too far from my computer.

There aren’t a lot of feasible solutions to that problem for the typical individual, but there are ways to bring some automation to the “multiple copies” problem with ImgBurn.

Step 4: Click the burning option that applies to you.

Step 5: Click the “File” and “Folder” icons at the center of the window to add data to the disc, then click the “Device” tab at the top-right portion of the window.

Step 6: Click the “Copies” drop-down menu at the bottom of the window, then click the number of copies that you need.

Step 7: Click the “Burn” button at the bottom of the window.
