How to Disable Automatic Capitalization on the iPhone 5

The iPhone tries to make it easier for you to do a lot of the things that it makes possible. But these convenience features can actual cause more problems than they solve for some users.

One of the most common default features that iPhone users want to disable is the automatic capitalization feature. This occurs at times where the iPhone feels that you should be using a capital letter, such as after a period. But you can disable automatic capitalization on the iPhone using the steps below.

You can also turn off automatic capitalization on your iPad as well. Some people find it to be much more helpful on the iPad than on the iPhone, but if you are used to capitalizing things yourself, it can be more of a hindrance than a benefit. newsletter
