Gamers and power users often have a harder time finding a laptop computer with which they are happy than does someone who uses their computer for more common tasks, such as Web-browsing or Microsoft Office. Nearly every computer is built to run those programs well, so someone that only needs limited functionality can choose from even the cheapest models available.
But if you want a performance machine that can play games, do video-editing and breeze through programs like AutoCAD or Photoshop, then you should definitely check out the ASUS N56VM-AB71. It has some impressive internal components that you will not find easily in another computer at this price.

This computer is built for someone that wants a lot out of their laptop. The typical user who will appreciate everything that this machine has to offer will want to do some light gaming, some resource-intensive multi-tasking, and probably some graphically intensive editing tasks. And this computer will be able to handle all of these items thanks to the dedicated graphics card and amazing 3rd-gen Intel i7 processor. There is a lot of power under the hood of this laptop, and you will be pleasantly surprised at what you are capable of accomplishing with a laptop computer. If you are coming from a desktop computer that is more than a couple of years old, you will really appreciate what this notebook can do.
My favorite elements of this computer are the Nvidia graphics card, the 3rd-Gen i7 processor and the 7200 RPM hard drive. These are three very important factors that affect the performance of your computer, and all three components should be up to whatever task you ask them to handle. Additionally, the computer looks terrific and, since the Amazon product description does not specify it, has a backlit keyboard. I have had many computers without backlighting before and really appreciate how helpful it can be.
In this price range there are not a lot of better options, performance-wise, than this computer. Many users might want a little more battery life out of a laptop, but you will struggle to find this much performance in a machine capable of a longer life on a single battery charge. I have found 4 hours to be the minimum length that I look for, because I rarely find myself in a situation where I am using my laptop for four uninterrupted hours where I am not able to get to an outlet and plug in.
