How to Turn Off the Twitter Badge Notification on an iPhone

Many of the apps that are on your iPhone may have a red circle with a number in it affixed to the corner of the app icon. This is called a Badge App Icon and is used to signal that the app has some notifications that require your attention.

Some apps, such as Mail, might always have a large number inside of them. Many iPhone users do not like badge app icons and will clear notifications whenever they see them.

However, you also have the option of completely turning off a badge app icon for individual apps. The Twitter app allows you to modify its notification settings to disable this option. You can read our tutorial below to learn where to find this option so that you can turn it off.

Many of the apps on your device have this style of notification. Our app icon badges article can provide additional information about this iPhone setting.
