How to Minimize the Predictive Text Bar on an iPhone 6

The predictive text bar above your iPhone keyboard can be a useful way to improve both the speed and accuracy of typing on the device, and many people have come to rely upon it for those reasons.

But sometimes it can get in the way, or you might simply decide that you are done using it.

You may already know how to hide it entirely, but perhaps you are looking for a way to hide it while still keeping it around as an option for the future.

This can be accomplished by minimizing the predictive text bar instead. This will collapse the bar and replace it with a handle that you can use to restore the predictive text bar later, if you so choose.
