One of the biggest downsides to streaming media services is their reliance on a good Internet connection.

So while Netflix is one of the best subscription services around, it is far less useful when you are somewhere and you do not have Internet access, such as on a plane.

Additionally, using a streaming service while connected to a cellular network can quickly consume your precious monthly data, which you may prefer to use for other purposes.

Apple Music offers a way around this problem, however, by giving you the ability to download music to your iPhone for offline use.

This allows you to listen to the music directly from the device, instead of streaming it, which means that you will have entertainment for your plane flight, or when you don’t want to use your data.
