How to Add a New Fingerprint on the iPhone 6 Plus

The iPhone 6 Plus has a touch ID on the Home button that allows you to unlock your device and make purchases by simply placing your finger on the scanner.

You likely enrolled a finger when you initially set up the device, but you may find that you are not always holding the iPhone 6 Plus the same way.

Enrolling multiple fingers allows you to handle the device in a number of different ways, plus it serves as a back up in case you injure a finger or your fingerprint cannot be read.

Our guide below will show you where to go so that you can add additional fingerprints to your device.

Adding Fingerprints to the iPhone 6 Plus

These steps were performed in iOS 8.1.2 on an iPhone 6 Plus. Devices without the touch ID feature are not able to add fingerprints as a security option on their device.
